Background & Establishment
Beit Lahia Development Association was founded in 1994 as a non-profit, non-governmental organization emerging from the heart of the local community. It was established to respond to genuine societal needs and to represent people’s aspirations with integrity and responsibility. Led by trusted and qualified community members, the Association has worked without discrimination to serve Beit Lahia and the entire North Gaza area, guided by transparency, independence, and strong community participation.
Our Mission
The Association strives to create positive social change by delivering development programs during times of stability and humanitarian relief during emergencies and crises. Its mission focuses on improving socio-economic conditions, supporting women and children, empowering youth, providing psychosocial and educational support, and promoting volunteerism and collective action. Continuous capacity building, effective partnerships, and active community involvement remain central to its approach.
Our Vision
Beit Lahia Development Association envisions becoming a leading organization in building a democratic civil society based on freedom, equality, and social justice, safeguarding human rights, and contributing with excellence and creativity to sustainable development in North Gaza.
Strategic Objectives
- 1. Contribute effectively to the economic, agricultural, educational, social, cultural, and environmental development of North Gaza.
