In an urgent humanitarian response to the growing challenges faced by residents of the Gaza Strip, the Beit Lahia Development Association implemented a relief initiative that involved the distribution of 5,298 cups of safe drinking water across all governorates of the Gaza Strip since the beginning of May 2025, at a daily average of 260 cups, with funding and support from Save the Children International and its donor partners.
This initiative comes amid the severe humanitarian conditions the Gaza Strip has been experiencing since the onset of the aggression in October 2023, as residents continue to endure a suffocating siege that has hindered the entry of humanitarian aid, contributing to an escalating risk of famine due to the acute shortage of food and safe drinking water.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling its humanitarian duty by continuing to provide support and assistance to displaced and affected families throughout the Gaza Strip, aiming to alleviate their suffering and strengthen their resilience in the face of the exceptional conditions they are living under.
