The Beit Lahia Development Association launched an emergency assistance program to provide 110,000 liters of clean drinking water to affected families in the northern parts of the Gaza Strip as a humanitarian response to the suffering of the local population. With kind financing from the Kinder America Foundation, this project was implemented as part of the emergency relief effort during the Gaza War.
Since the start of the aggression in October 2023, residents of North Gaza and the Gaza Governorates have been subjected to a severe siege and the near-complete closure of all aid entry points, which has resulted in a critical shortage of necessities, particularly food and safe drinking water. This intervention comes amid the catastrophic humanitarian conditions they face.
The association emphasized its commitment to continuing humanitarian efforts and offering all possible support to the most vulnerable groups, confirming that this initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of families and strengthen their resilience in the face of the growing risks of famine and drought amid the ongoing aggression and continuous deterioration of living conditions.
