As part of the project “Humanitarian Assistance to Palestinians in Response to the Crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and its Regional Implications” Beit Lahia Development Association (BLDA) continues to implement field health prevention campaigns. A comprehensive pest and rodent control campaign has targeted 20 shelter sites, with ongoing efforts to cover 10 additional sites in the coming days.
These field interventions included intensive spraying operations using certified and safe materials, specifically “Cyperin Health” for insect protection and “Stopper” for rodent control. The operations covered site perimeters, internal corridors, and the interior and exterior of tents.Furthermore, specialized rodent control bait stations were distributed to promote a safer living environment for the IDPs.
In parallel with these interventions, the association is conducting comprehensive awareness sessions for the IDps on best health practices and methods to mitigate the risks of insects and rodents, empowering them to maintain the safety of their surroundings.
These interventions are implemented in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), reaffirming the vital role of collaborative action in facilitating rapid emergency response and providing protection and assistance to the most vulnerable groups.
