As part of the “Gaza Emergency Response” project, the Association’s nutritionists are continuing to conduct a series of educational workshops for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and mothers in general. This initiative is a core component of our ongoing interventions to promote health awareness and ensure proper nutrition.
These workshops focus on comprehensive awareness regarding the risks of malnutrition, as well as methods for its prevention and treatment. Special emphasis is placed on promoting breastfeeding practices as a fundamental pillar for infant development. The team also clarifies the scientific distinctions between nutritional supplements and complementary foods, guiding mothers toward healthy dietary choices that ensure optimal child growth and support maternal health during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
These interventions are implemented in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Palestine and funded by the Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA), as part of joint international and local efforts to mitigate the risk of malnutrition and protect health security in the Gaza Strip.
