As part of its ongoing humanitarian response to the repercussions of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Beit Lahia Development Association implemented a new relief initiative by distributing 1,144 fresh vegetable baskets to affected families. This initiative was carried out within the project for distributing food supplies and humanitarian needs to families impacted by the aggression, under the “Gaza Emergency Campaign 2023”, with funding and supervision from Taawon Association.
The initiative targeted displaced families in the governorates of Rafah and Deir Al-Balah, where the association ensured the provision of a variety of fresh vegetables to meet the basic nutritional needs of households. This comes amid the harsh living conditions faced by displaced people, the sharp rise in food prices, and the continued aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Beneficiaries expressed their happiness and gratitude for the contents of the vegetable baskets, emphasizing their importance in supporting their families’ resilience and easing daily burdens. The association reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its humanitarian interventions to help alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable groups during this critical time.
